The Weasley’s car disappears…AGAIN!

May 24, 2006 at 6:03 pm (Harry Potter News, Uncategorized)

As I skimmed through the New York Times of the mon. May 22,2006 edition,I happened to find an article about the disappearance of the 1962 Ford Anglia, used in the Harry Potter movies. As I read on, I found out the car was actually stolen a year ago from a high-security south west film studio lot, located in St.Agnes in Cornwall. Also, a gang tried to sell the car the week before. The people that were going to by the car noticed the car was missing it's licence plate and decided to forfeit the deal. Then the gang decided to leave it abandoned in the Carn Brea, a 14th-century castle. The police say that they had gotten an annonimous call, telling them were the car was stationed.Guess the only thing for the police to do now is to track down the gang. For more information, log on to www.NYtimes.com.

Is this the end of Harry Potter?

April 28, 2006 at 3:06 pm (Harry Potter News)

In the critics section of “The New York Times”, there was a small article which was commenting on the Harry Potter series. As I read, it said that a school in Gwinnett County, Georgia, is planning on banning the Harry Potter series from it’s libraries. Many parents are supporting this by saying that these books are supposedly “filled with evil”.One parent,by the name of Laura Mallory said, quote: “I want to protect my kids, children and others from evil, not fill their minds with it.” Some supporting readers poited out that they can tell the difference between fiction and reality…that’s a relief! Anyway, a recommendation will be given to the school board within 5 days, then the board has ten days to decide if the beloved books will stay in the libraries. My question is, have these people even bothered to pick up a book and read it,instead of just going against it?If you wish to leave a comment on this subject feel free to do so.
